Hot Tap Machine Dimensions & Specifications

All Schallert hot tap machines are rated to 350 psi. This applies across the full product range from the compact TM100 electric machine to the large-diameter TM6120 hydraulic machine, making them suitable for pressurized water mains and industrial pipelines operating within that pressure envelope.

Both drive types are available. The TM100 and TM200 use electric drives powered by 110V (compatible with a Milwaukee Hole Hawg or Superhawg). The TM250, TM300, TM400, and TM6120 use dual hydraulic motor drives requiring hydraulic power units ranging from 8 GPM at 2,200 psi up to 21 GPM at 1,500 psi depending on the model.

Boring bar diameters range from under 2" on the TM100, 2" on the TM200, 2.5" on the TM250, 3.0" on the TM300, 4.0" on the TM400, and 6.0" on the TM6120. Larger boring bars accommodate bigger cutter holders and deeper cuts on large-diameter pipelines.

Stroke lengths vary by model: TM100 offers 22", TM200 offers 24", 30", or 36", TM250 offers 28" or 42", TM300 offers 60" or 72", TM400 offers 96", and the TM6120 offers 84" or 120". Longer strokes accommodate deeper cuts on larger-diameter pipes with greater wall thickness.
